Det finns en längre intervju med Nate Hagens om hans senaste artikel som vi skrev om i höstas. Här beskriver han lite hur ”superorganismen” fungerar. Detta ingår som han ser det i en ny gren av forskningen ”system ekonomi”.

The real problem of humanity is the following: we have paleolithic emotions; medieval institutions; and god-like technology.

Nate ser inte att vi frivilligt kommer att gör de förändringar som behövs för att rädda oss. Vi är för inbäddade i fossil energi, för vem vill ge upp miljarder energislavar som vi har.

Det behövs en rekalibrering av det finansiella systemet.
Nate skriver:

To avoid facing the consequences of our biophysical reality, we’re now obtaining growth in increasingly unsustainable ways. The developed world is using finance to enable the extraction of things we couldn’t otherwise afford to extract to produce things we otherwise couldn’t afford to consume.
