Myten om biobränsle!

I denna podcast från Radio Ecoshock så samtal Alex med Mary Booth om myten om det gröna bränslet, biomassa. Och som IPCC och EU säger är direkt klimatneutralt vilket det inte alls är och som våra politiker likaså anammar. Men vi ljuger för oss själva om klimatnyttan med biobränsle och har till och med subventioner på biobränsle.

Som Mary skriver i rapport:

Climate models, renewable energy policies, and carbon trading programs in the US and EU erroneously treat biomass sourced from residues as carbon neutral.

Biobränsle innehåller upp till 20% fossila bränslen från avverkningen mm.

En mening från rapporten lyder: “Net emissions may be ten times higher at year 40 if whole trees are harvested for feedstock.”
